I take fuzzy ideas and ship them — AI features, full products, or the gnarly bug nobody else wants to touch.

About

I am a freelance AI engineer and fullstack developer. Clients bring me two kinds of work: "we want AI in our product but do not know where to start", and "this thing is broken/slow/half-built — please finish it". I like both.

Recent work spans LLM-powered features (RAG pipelines, agents, evals), full products built end to end, and rescue missions on existing codebases. I care about the unglamorous parts — clear data models, honest error handling, and shipping something clients can actually run without me.

Services

Four ways to hire me — pick the shape that fits your problem:

AI Feature Sprint 2–3 weeks

Your product gets a working AI feature grounded in your data — RAG, agents, or automation — with an eval suite so you can trust it after I leave.

Rescue Mission 1–4 weeks

Half-built, slow, or broken app? I stabilize it, put tests around the scary parts, fix the fires, and finish what was started.

Full Product Build 4–8 weeks

Idea or Figma file in, production SaaS out: frontend, backend, auth, billing, deploy, monitoring. Built solo, shipped fast.

Fractional Engineer ongoing

A senior engineer a few days a week — for teams that need experience on tap without a full-time hire.

How I work

Every engagement runs the same four steps:

  1. 01
    Scope

A short call, then a written brief with a fixed price or weekly rate. No surprises, no scope creep by stealth.

  2. 02
    Prototype

Something clickable in week one. Bad ideas die cheap; good ones get proven before the big build.

  3. 03
    Ship

Production deploy with tests, monitoring, and honest error handling — not a demo that falls over on Monday.

  4. 04
    Handover

Documentation and a recorded walkthrough. Your team can run, extend, and deploy it without me on retainer.

How this site is built

This portfolio is also a work sample. Under the hood:

  • No frameworks. The window manager, terminal, boot sequence, start menu and command palette are hand-written vanilla JavaScript.
  • ~9 kB of JavaScript, gzipped. Smaller than most sites’ cookie banner. Loads instantly on a bad connection.
  • Works with JavaScript off. The windows degrade into a readable stacked document — try it.
  • Accessible by design. Keyboard operable end to end, respects prefers-reduced-motion, semantic HTML under the retro paint.
  • Static build. Deploys to any CDN. No server, no database, nothing to wake up at 3am for.
  • One config file. Every word on this site lives in a single commented config.js — the way I like handing projects over.

If you're an engineer: yes, the taskbar buttons depress properly. Priorities.
